TrophyView Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This policy explains how TrophyView handles information when you use its app and related account and support services. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

Information we collect

Analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage, Firebase Crashlytics to investigate errors, and Firebase Performance Monitoring to measure reliability and loading performance. Usage events can include screen and feature activity and ranch or buck identifiers. TrophyView sets your account identifier in Analytics and Crashlytics; this information is not necessarily anonymous.

These services may process device and installation identifiers, device model, operating system, app version, network information, IP addresses, and approximate location derived from network information. We do not use these services to sell your data or target advertising.

Location and photos

TrophyView does not use continuous GPS tracking. Uploaded photo GPS metadata is stripped during photo processing. Technical service providers may still process IP addresses and approximate geographic information for analytics, performance, or security. Information you enter in ranch records or visible in your photos may reveal locations or other personal information.

How we use information

Who can access information

Authorized ranch members can access content according to their ranch roles and the app’s sharing settings. Authorized TrophyView staff may access information needed to respond to support requests, investigate technical problems, review reported content, enforce the Terms, or respond to legal obligations.

We use service providers to operate TrophyView:

These providers process information under applicable service and data-protection terms. We require service providers acting on our behalf to protect information consistently with this policy. We do not sell your personal information or provide it to advertisers. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address security, fraud, or abuse.

Account and data deletion

Use Account Settings → Delete Account to complete deletion in the app. The flow includes a password check, a ranch-by-ranch preview, successor selection where required, a photo choice, and confirmation. You can also request deletion without the app at our account deletion page.

Personal data that is deleted

Ranch records that remain

Bucks, sightings, harvest logs, scoring sheets, pastures, poll totals, and activity logs remain with ranches that continue to exist. Your account ID is cleared from these retained records, and your attribution is replaced with Former member. Personal vote records are deleted while aggregate poll totals remain.

Removing account attribution does not necessarily remove personal information you entered in free-text notes or information visible in photos. If a retained record contains personal information about you, identify it in a deletion request so we can review its removal.

Your photo choice

Ranch ownership and administration

If you own a ranch or are its only admin, select a successor for each affected ranch before confirming deletion. You can select an eligible Manager or Member, who is promoted to admin. If you are a ranch’s only member, that ranch and its data are deleted.

Data retention

Account and personal data are retained while needed to operate your account and are deleted through the account-deletion process described above. Ranch records with your account attribution removed, aggregate poll totals, and photos you explicitly choose to leave remain with the ranch until those records or the ranch are deleted.

Subscription cancellation stops renewal but does not erase store purchase history. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat apply their own retention requirements to purchase records. Subscription and transaction records needed to support remaining paid ranch benefits, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations may remain after account deletion.

Analytics, diagnostic, infrastructure, and backup records are subject to the relevant provider’s retention and deletion processes and the service’s configured settings. Removing a login account does not by itself erase previously collected records from every service. Contact us to request deletion of personal information associated with those records. If information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, or a legal obligation, we will explain the applicable reason when responding to your request.

For requests requiring manual work, we communicate the expected completion time and confirm completion.

Security

We use authenticated access, role-based access controls, and protections provided by our cloud services to restrict access to account and ranch data. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Do not include passwords, verification codes, or payment card information in support messages.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can request access, a copy of your data, correction, or deletion by emailing [email protected]. You may also contact us about withdrawing consent or objecting to particular data uses. We may verify account ownership before fulfilling a request. Device settings control permissions such as photo access and notifications; they do not necessarily disable analytics or crash reporting.

Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play. Restoring a purchase restores benefits for its original ranch. To subscribe for another ranch, cancel the current ranch subscription and sign up separately for the other ranch.
